ASHBURN — Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Saturday there is a “strong possibility” the team adds another running back after the organization’s recent run of injuries at the position.
The Redskins will host a number of free agent running backs on Sunday for a workout, though Gruden did not specify who the team plans to bring in.
“We’re steady making moves and we have a workout tomorrow,” Gruden said. “We’ll take a look at some other guys.”
During Thursday’s game against the New York Jets, running backs Samaje Perine, Byron Marshall and Martez Carter were all hurt.
