Offseason question: Could Stephen Paea start at right defensive end next season?

There’s an urgent need on the defensive line this offseason for the Washington Redskins. They currently don’t have a returning nose tackle on the roster next season and lack young legs at defensive end moving forward with all of the veterans the Redskins signed last offseason. One of those veterans is Stephen Paea, who signed a four-year, $21 million deal at the start of free agency.

In his first season away from the Chicago Bears, Paea played fewer games (11) than in any season since he was a rookie in 2011. He landed on the injured reserve list for the last four regular season games because of a turf-toe injury suffered in Week 13 against the Dallas Cowboys.
