Observations from Day 14 of Redskins training camp

RICHMOND – The Redskins got back to work on Saturday, holding their next-to-last open practice of training camp.

It was fan appreciation day, so the team marching band and cheerleaders performed before practice, and Jay Gruden addressed the announced crowd of 7,130 – thanking them for their support and said Richmond has been a great home for the team.

Then the team got to work, spending the first half of practice in shells, and the second half in just jerseys and helmets.

    • Cornerback David Amerson returned to action after missing the past eight practices and the preseason opener with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder.
