Newly-acquired running back Pierre Thomas was the last one out on the field nearly 30 minutes after the conclusion of his first practice with the Washington Redskins Friday. It’s Thomas’s second team this season after spending eight seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
Thomas said he received a call from the Redskins, who had contact with the running back during the offseason and over the past few months, while working out in his hometown of Chicago. Now, Thomas will return to the Windy City as a member of the Redskins organization on Sunday against the Bears.
“They said my position is going to be limited, but I told them whatever it is – special teams, offense – I’m down to help out whatever it is,” Thomas said.
