Before recently completing his 27th season as the head baseball coach for Sacred Heart University, Nick Giaquinto was an H-Back for the Washington Redskins who earned the nickname “The Trashman” for his ability to play multiple positions and fill several different roles.

From 1981 to 1983, Giaquinto helped contribute to a team that would eventually go on to win Super Bowl XVII over his former team, the Miami Dolphins.

“Team-wise, of course, is winning that Super Bowl and being in the locker room after that game,” Giaquinto told Vin Ebenau recently of his favorite moment.
