Monk and Green, of course, helped the Redskins win three Super Bowls in a nine-year span as their steady contributions provided leadership on both sides of the football.
Monk played 14 years in Washington and finished with 888 receptions for 12,026 yards and 65 touchdowns. He held three NFL records at one time including most consecutive games with a catch (183).
Green was one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time and played all 20 years in Washington. He finished his career with 258 starts, 54 interceptions and seven Pro Bowls. He made great plays around the entire field, none being bigger than his pass deflection in the 1988 NFC Championship.
