Early in the day, it was leaked that the Washington Redskins would be playing their first home Thanksgiving game in their franchise’s history. This broke via Master Testafion of the Washington Post, who communicated that the New York Giants would be the Redskins opponent.
Of course, the Redskins are no stranger to Thanksgiving action, and have played nine times on the biggest holiday of the NFL season. Their 2-7 record leaves a lot to be desired, but perhaps playing at home could help them to grab an important win.
Elsewhere, as of right now, it appears that the Redskins will open at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.
