Kristian Garic of WWL Radio reports the New Orleans Saints are visiting with free-agent defensive tackle Jason Hatcher, formerly of the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys.
Hatcher, who will turn 34 in August, managed just two sacks last year in D.C. but totaled 16.5 in the two seasons prior as an interior rusher. The 10-year veteran was considering retirement earlier this offseason, but this visit suggests he intends to keep playing. Hatcher was among several cost-cutting releases made by Washington last week, but he could be a useful piece up front at the right price.
