NFL Draft safeties overview: West Virgina’s Karl Joseph confident he’ll regain dominant form

In 2015, no safety in college football got off to a hotter start than West Virginia’s Karl Joseph. In four games, the 5-foot-10, 207-pound senior racked up five interceptions, 15 tackles and a fumble recovery.

His range, tenacity, physicality and play-making put Joseph among the top safeties in the nation. But with a torn ACL suffered during a non-contact drill in practice, Joseph’s quest to become a first-round pick in the NFL draft took a serious blow.

He couldn’t perform for NFL talent evaluators at the combine, or at West Virginia’s pro day earlier this week, but Joseph knows all he need is just one team to take a chance on him.
