Centers rarely get much attention during the NFL draft, and it’s not much different this year despite the depth at the position. There’s only one player worthy of a first-round grade, Alabama’s Ryan Kelly, but NFL teams will find solid centers during the other six rounds.
One of those prospects is Michigan State’s Jack Allen, a versatile four-year offensive lineman from Hinsdale, Ill. Allen made 47 starts, the second most by a Michigan State offensive lineman in school history, with 42 at center and five at left guard.
