The Washington Redskins have selected Virginia Tech safety Kyshoen Jarrett with the 181st pick in the sixth round of NFL Draft 2015. The Redskins came into this draft needing to add more depth at safety and they’ve done that with the addition of Jarrett.
The Redskins signed free agent Jeron Johnson this offseason as a free agent and he’s expected to start at strong safety. The also traded for free safety Dashon Goldson and he is expected to start as well.
Phillip Thomas returns and he can play either free or strong. Trent Robinson returns as well. However, more depth at the position was needed.
