NFL coaches allowed to return to team facilities Friday

Ron Rivera didn’t have tons of time to become acquainted with Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia, before the coronavirus pandemic took hold in the U.S. Now he’ll be allowed to return to the office.

The NFL sent a memo Thursday telling teams that coaching staffs would be allowed to return to team facilities beginning Friday, NFL Network reported.

The league’s memo also said the maximum number of employees in a facility at a time will be increased to 100, subject to state and local regulations regarding the reopening of workplaces and economies.

“Coaches and other football staff, particularly those who may be in a higher risk category or who have concerns about their own health conditions, are expected to speak with the club medical staff or personal physician about any special precautions or other accommodations that may be appropriate for their particular circumstances,” the memo said.
