This news was expected, but Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed today that QB Dak Prescott will have season-ending surgery on his hamstring. He had been seeking other options to avoid surgery, but will now be shut down until next season. Prescott was injured during a Week 9 loss to the Falcons, and didn’t play during the Eagles blowout victory over the Cowboys in Dallas.
Cooper Rush started the game on Sunday, and was shut down by the Eagles offense. Jones also said that Rush might have suffered a neck strain attempting to recover a fumble on the second series.
