The Washington Redskins agreed to terms with tight end Richard Rodgers on Tuesday, adding another player at a much-needed position.
If Rodgers’ name sounds familiar, however, you’ll likely recognize him from this play:
That’s right. In 2015, Rodgers was on the receiving end of a 61-yard bomb from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers that resulted in a game-winning touchdown against the Lions, dubbed “The Miracle in Motown.” The Packers did not have any time left on the clock, but got to run another play because of a penalty committed by Detroit.
Rodgers’ best statistical season happened in 2015, when he caught 58 passes for 510 yards and eight touchdowns.
