New Redskins CB Cary Williams wasn't a fit in Seattle

ASHBURN, Va. – The Washington Redskins' newest cornerback, Cary Williams, arrives a month after being cut by the Seattle Seahawks – and at a time when his new team, once again, needs help in the secondary.

Williams will give up big plays. He’s not a shutdown corner – those players aren’t available this time of the year. But the Redskins have done a good job adding veterans this season who have helped, from Will Hopkins to Mason Foster and Pierre Thomas. With Kyshoen Jarrett sidelined this week at least and corner Dashaun Phillips coming off an injury, the Redskins had a need.
