Nate Orchard to re-sign with Redskins: reports

The Washington Redskins are set to re-sign defensive end Nate Orchard after the two sides agreed upon a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

Orchard, 27, flashed toward the end of last season. Signed off the street in late November, he went on to have a monster game days later against the Carolina Panthers — recording a sack, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery to seal the victory.

Before joining the Redskins, Orchard, a 2015 second-round draft pick out of Utah, had spent the first three years of his career with the Cleveland Browns and then had stints with the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs in 2019.
