Aubrey Pleasant served as the assistant defensive backs coach for the team. He survived the firing of defensive coordinator Joe Barry and staff, only to rejoin Barry and former OC Sean McVay in Los Angeles. The Redskins had hoped to close Pleasant on a deal. However, according to Washington Post Reporter Master Tesfatsion , the two sides couldn’t come to terms. Pleasant’s future with the Redskins was to be a defensive backs coach.
