Montae Nicholson placed on Reserve/NFI list, ending his 2018 Redskins season

Just when things were starting to look up for the Redskins, things took a turn for the worse. Montae Nicholson, the second-year safety out of Michigan State, was arrested on Tuesday morning for assault and battery. And now, he won’t be playing again in 2018.

Nicholson, the team’s top backup at safety and a starter before the arrival of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, was seen delivering a knockout punch to a man in a video released by TMZ Sports. The video is fairly violent, so just be warned before watching.

As a result of the incident, the Redskins elected to place Nicholson on the Reserve/NFI list, per ESPN’s John Keim.
