Matt Jones' injury increases concern, but he was productive

The shoulder injury to Matt Jones doesn’t change anything: The Washington Redskins are content to see what they have on their roster before looking elsewhere. That’s what a source said Saturday as the team wants to see if Jones can be the full-time guy and if those behind him are capable backups.

But general manager Scot McCloughan has acted in the past when necessary, trading for tight end Derek Carrier last summer for example. He also added key players once the 2015 season began -- defensive back Will Blackmon, linebacker Mason Foster and kicker Dustin Hopkins.
