ATLANTA — Rookie running back Matt Jones was unable to finish Sunday’s game after suffering a big toe sprain. Meanwhile, left tackle Trent Williams wasn’t permitted to speak to reporters after the game because he was being evaluated for some type of illness, a team spokesman said.
Jones, like the rest of his fellow running backs, struggled on Sunday, managing only 20 yards on a team-high 11 carries. His longest run went for seven yards. His lone bright spot was a two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
