After gaining 31 yards on seven carries in the first quarter of the Redskins' Week 2 preseason game with the New York Jets, Matt Jones came out of the game with a left shoulder issue.
Washington Redskins running back Matt Jones was removed from Friday evening’s Week 2 preseason matchup with the New York Jets. It was announced that Jones would receive an X-Ray on his left shoulder after landing on it awkwardly.
Prior to his departure, Jones was getting into a groove on the ground, collecting 31 yards on seven carries.
In total through the first quarter, Washington was able to find holes in the Jets’ defense as they gained 61 rushing yards.
