Linebacker Terence Garvin will visit the Redskins

Inside linebacker Terence Garvin will visit the Redskins on Friday, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Garvin is a Baltimore native and spent the last three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 25-year-old made just one start in Pittsburgh, but he played in 43 games. Listed at 6 feet 2 and 222 pounds, Garvin finished last season with nine combined tackles. He was listed third on the team’s depth chart last year.

Garvin is the first linebacker to visit the Redskins during free agency. They previously re-signed inside linebackers Mason Foster and Will Compton prior to the start of free agency, but they have room for another inside linebacker with the departure of Keenan Robinson.
