Linebacker Mason Foster has agreed to return to the Washington Redskins prior to Wednesday’s 4 p.m. start of free agency, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Foster agreed to a two-year deal. Financial terms were not immediately available.
Foster originally signed with the Redskins on Sept. 23 as a free agent after the Chicago Bears cut him following training camp. He went on to start the final five regular season games and the team’s only playoff game initially because of injuries at inside linebacker.
