Defensive back Kyshoen Jarrett has been ruled out for the Washington Redskins’ first-round playoff matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The rookie suffered a nerve issue in the 34-23 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Jarrett was initially diagnosed with a possible concussion and a shoulder injury after tackling Cowboys running back Darren McFadden on the fifth series of the game. Redskins Coach Jay Gruden said the tests came back negative for Jarrett, but the nerve is impacting his right arm. Jarrett was a vital piece in the Redskins’ secondary, with his ability to serve as a nickel cornerback and safety in the nickel and dime packages.
