ASHBURN, Va., -- He knows what happened a year ago, when his hot hand helped guide the Washington Redskins to the playoffs. The Redskins could use a repeat second-half performance from quarterback Kirk Cousins this season.
Cousins, though, isn’t looking at last season’s second-half finish as a predictor for the next eight games. In 2015, Cousins threw 19 touchdowns to two interceptions over the final eight games as the Redskins went 6-2.
In that stretch, Cousins owned the NFL’s top passer rating and trailed only Seattle’s Russell Wilson in total QBR.
“I don’t know that you ever look at last year and hope for something to be repeated in the sense that every year is different,” Cousins said.
