Kirk Cousins headed to Pro Bowl; Nick Sundberg re-signs

The Washington Redskins were busy Monday. In addition to the major move of bringing back Jim Tomsula as defensive line coach:

  • Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins will play in his first Pro Bowl as the replacement for Matt Ryan. Cousins threw for 4,917 yards, 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season and, of course, will become an unrestricted free agent in March. In the last two years, Cousins has thrown for a combined 9,083 yards, 54 touchdown passes and 23 picks.

  • Robert Griffin III was voted to the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2012 but could not play in the game because of his knee injury.
