Redskins rookie running back Keith Marshall was injured on his first carry of Friday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, awkwardly landing on his left elbow before being removed from the game with was diagnosed as a sprain.
He received X-rays in the Redskins' locker room before returning to Washington's bench.
On a second-down play for the Redskins from the Buffalo 40-yard line, Marshall sped right before being upended by Bills linebacker Brandon Spikes and landing on his elbow.
Marshall walked off the field under his own power holding his left arm. Marshall was a seventh-round pick for the Redskins this season out of Georgia.
