RICHMOND – Recently signed outside linebacker Junior Galette took part in his first walk-through Thursday evening, but he still has a ways to go before the Redskins’ strength coaches and athletic trainers will clear him to resume full football activity.
Galette is working to regain full strength in the left pectoral muscle that he tore in the offseason. Galette, who suffered the injury while lifting weights, ruled out surgery after two of the three doctors he visited for opinions told him that wasn’t necessary to correct the tear.
Galette passed a physical July 27, just before the Saints released him, and again July 30, during his meeting with Washington.
