Josh LeRibeus adding to value while re-learning center position

RICHMOND – When the Washington Redskins selected Josh LeRibeus in the third round of the 2012 draft, they thought that the SMU product not only had the potential to play guard in the NFL, but center as well.

Then-coach Mike Shanahan planned to groom LeRibeus as both. But it didn’t take long for Shanahan to lose patience with the center experiment, and he told LeRibeus to focus on guard. LeRibeus appeared in five games as a rookie, but didn’t suit up for a single game in 2013 as he battled weight issues and struggled to work his way back into Shanahan’s good graces.
