ASHBURN, Va., -- The Washington Redskins won’t have their starting safety or a possible alternative when they play the New York Giants Sunday. But it’s looking better for tight end Jordan Reed.
Safety Donte Whitner (quad strain) and Su'a Cravens (elbow/upper arm) did not practice, and coach Jay Gruden said it doesn’t look good for either one playing Sunday vs. the New York Giants. Gruden had said Monday that if Whitner couldn’t play they might need Cravens to play some safety.
