Redskins tight end Jordan Reed was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals by Washington coach Jay Gruden on Friday.
Reed suffered a Grade 3 separation of the AC joint in his left shoulder when he fell to the ground on Thanksgiving Day during the Redskins’ game against the Dallas Cowboys.
After the game, Reed grimaced in pain as he tried to take off and put on T-shirts. He required assistance to do so.
Reed said Monday that he had about 30 percent mobility in the shoulder. Washington hoped his range of motion would improve as the week went on, but Gruden said Friday that Reed’s range of motion was insufficient and, as a result, he would not play Sunday.
