ASHBURN, Virginia -- The Washington Redskins have received one dose of bad injury news after another. So there was a welcomed relief for the opposite Monday: Rookie defensive lineman Jonathan Allen started running, albeit at less than half-speed, and remains on track to return this season.
Allen, placed on injured reserve Oct. 19 after surgery for a Lisfranc injury, can resume practicing next week -- if he’s ready. He’s eligible to play again starting in Week 15 when the Redskins host the Arizona Cardinals.
“He’s coming along good,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said.
