With one 40-yard bomb to receiver Dyami Brown, Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was among the top standouts coming out of Washington's preseason debut against the New York Jets. The pass before, Daniels had badly sailed a screen pass to Austin Ekeler, so it was good to know he could quickly shake off whatever that was (mechanics, jitters, etc). Daniels ultimately closed out the opening drive, scoring a touchdown on a read-option keeper, as the starting offense exited the game with a relatively clean and efficient possession. Among other standouts was Dyami Brown, who hauled in the Daniels dime on the sideline in traffic.
