ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins would like to keep Jamison Crowder. But the question they’ll have to answer in the next month is whether or not they can afford him.
The Redskins’ slot receiver, who becomes a free agent in March, plays a position that has become an important -- and expensive -- one in the NFL in the past several seasons.
“It’s a great time to be a slot receiver,” Crowder said.
In August, Minnesota signed Stefon Diggs to a five-year deal worth up to $72 million with $40 million guaranteed.
