Jay Gruden hopes Chris Culliver plays against Patriots, unsure about Kory Lichtensteiger

Redskins Coach Jay Gruden is a very optimistic man when discussing injuries on a weekly basis. His hope hasn’t wavered this week with the possibility of receiving a few key starters back in the lineup against the New England Patriots.

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson (hamstring), outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan (hand), cornerback DeAngelo Hall (toe) and cornerback Chris Culliver (knee) were all limited during Wednesday’s practice. For Culliver, it’s his first practice in full pads since attempting to play through the knee injury in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Gruden anticipates Culliver will increase his workload during Thursday’s practice as he tries to remain on track to play against the Patriots on Sunday.
