Jay Gruden knows that his Washington Redskins have a long way to go in their quest to improve upon the 4-12 campaign they posted in his first season at the helm. But as the team’s offseason work draws to a close, the coach declared a sense of encouragement.
Gruden says he and the players have begun to see the payoff from the changes made to the strength and conditioning program, and the approach new director Mike Clark has instituted. The returning offensive players have displayed improved confidence and decisiveness now that they have a second offseason in the system.
