ASHBURN, Va. – Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Hatcher received good news on his MRI. He still doesn’t know yet what that means for Sunday’s game at Chicago. The news wasn't so good for running back Chris Thompson, though his status remains uncertain as well.
Hatcher suffered a pinched nerve in his neck, which is affecting the left side of his upper body. He did not practice Wednesday, though the Redskins only had a walk-through.
Hatcher said when he uses a punching motion, as if hitting a blocker’s shoulder pads, he’s ok. It’s when he tries to use a rip move, requiring him to raise his arm, that it hurts him.
