The Washington Redskins focused on improving their linebacker corps this offseason. With the team switching to a 4-3 defense under Jack Del Rio, the team needed to add competition and depth to the position. And, of course, they needed to add some players that fit the Mike, Will, and Sam linebacker positions in the defense.
The ‘Skins opted to add a handful of players to the fold. They signed veteran Thomas Davis to give the squad an experienced linebacker with eight years of experience in Ron Rivera’s defense in Carolina. They also selected Khaleke Hudson in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
