The Washington Redskins are in sole possession of first place in the NFC East heading into Week 16. Following a 35-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and losses by the Philadelphia Eagles (6-8) and New York Giants (6-8), the Redskins (7-7) control their destiny heading into Saturday’s crucial matchup against the Eagles.
There are a two scenarios in which Washington can make the playoffs, but none more important, or simple, than this: Win and they’re in. If the Redskins beat the Eagles on the road, they will clinch the NFC East division title regardless of what happens in Week 17.
