Three days after saying that he wondered if close calls always go against the Redskins because of their controversial name, defensive end Jason Hatcher claimed no recollection of those comments.
Hatcher was asked in the locker room after practice on Wednesday if he was surprised by the attention that his comments on Sunday drew.
But he responded, “What comment was that?”
When the reporter, WJLA’s Alex Parker, tried to jog Hatcher’s memory, explaining the nature of Hatcher’s statement on Sunday, Hatcher replied, “I don’t remember that. I don’t remember that. I’m focused on the Giants.
