GREEN BAY, Wis. — Redskins running back Derrius Guice exited Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury in the second quarter and has not returned as Washington trails 14-6 at halftime.
Guice was hurt at the end of a 23-yard run when safety Darnell Savage went head first into the running back’s leg to make the tackle. The 22-year-old remained on the ground for several minutes, while trainers rushed out to attend him. Guice’s return was later announced as questionable, but has not come back into the game.
The Redskins, meanwhile, trail by one possession after Adrian Peterson punched in a two-yard touchdown.
