Once again, former Washington Redskins receiver Rashad Ross is on the move. After being released by the Redskins in December of 2016, Ross has struggled to find a place in the league. Midway through the NFL playoffs, Ross inked a reserve/future contract with the San Francisco 49ers. That reunited him with former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
However, things apparently did not work out well for Ross there. He was released by the team on the first day of June. There was just no way he was going to beat out some of the younger players for a spot on the team, given the volume of players the 49ers have at the receiver and return man positions.
