Former Redskins TE Fred Davis Signs 1-Year Deal with the New England Patriots

Fred Davis was reinstated by the NFL last week following an indefinite suspension for violating the NFL Substances of Abuse policy.  Now he has a new home with the New England Patriots, signing a 1-year deal which could be his last chance to prove it in the league.  Davis is 29, and never started a full 16 games during a season for the Redskins.  His career has been marred by injuries, suspensions, and inconsistent play.  His best season came in 2011 when he started the most games(12), had the most receptions(59), and the most receiving yards(796) of his career.
