Former Redskins tackle Joe Jacoby among final 15 for Hall of Fame

Former Washington Redskins offensive tackle Joe Jacoby was on the cusp of making it to the Hall of Fame last season. He'll get another chance next month.

Jacoby is one of 15 finalists whose fate will be determined on Feb. 4, when as many as five will be elected. Jacoby missed the cut to the final five last year, though he was reportedly close. If he was able to get in this year, he'd be the second member of the famed "Hogs" to enter the Hall, with Russ Grimm's bust already in Canton, Ohio.

Jacoby played for the Redskins from 1981-93, mostly at left tackle during a time when the position rose to prominence -- thanks in part to New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor.
