Former Washington Redskins quarterback Mark Rypien was arrested in Spokane, Washington, Sunday on a domestic violence charge, news station KHQ reported.
Rypien was charged with fourth degree assault/domestic violence and will face a judge Monday morning.
Video captured by the news station showed Rypien being handcuffed and led into a police vehicle. KHQ added that “his wife was seen to be crying.”
It isn’t known who placed a call to police, but Rypien and his wife were found in a public place in Spokane, with his wife Danielle “lying in the grass,” the report said.
