Former Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth needs a kidney transplant

Since retiring from the NFL in 2011, former Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has endured a few medical issues. Three years after retiring from the league, he suffered a brain aneurysm.

And recently, he confirmed that he is once again in poor health.

On Wednesday night, Haynesworth took to Instagram to confirm that he is dealing with kidney failure saying, “I’m in dire need of a kidney. Mine have finally failed me on July 7, 2019.” Here’s his full statement on the matter from Haynesworth’s heartbreaking Instagram post.

This is certainly terrible news.
