Former long time Redskins defensive end Stephen Bowen has retired. Bowen, who started his 10 year career with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Hofstra in 2006.
Eventually, Bowen would switch sides in the rivalry and joined the Redskins in 2011 where he would have the best season of his NFL career. Bowen played in all 16 games in 2011 and totaled 21 solo tackles (41 combined), 6 sacks and a fumble recovery.
Ever since that season, Bowen’s stats would slowly decline and the Redskins moved on from him in the 2014 offseason.
