Blake Sims, former Alabama quarterback that led his team to the college football playoff semifinals, is at Redskins rookie minicamp trying to earn a spot at running back. This is not a new position for Blake Sims, he played QB/running back in high school and at Alabama.
In 2011 Blake Sims position at Alabama was a running back and in 2012 and 2013 he was moved to quarterback as a backup for AJ McCarron. In 2014, Blake Sims won the role of starting quarterback in which he posed a double threat as a running QB.
At Coach Grudens press conference today he commented on Blake Sims saying “He’s come in and he looks like he’s been playing the position for a while.
