As of now, the NFL is still planning to have a season amid the coronavirus pandemic. The league has not said if fans will be allowed, but training camps are set to start in late July and the NFL’s schedule has been released.
But in a new interview, Dr. Anthony Fauci warns football may not happen at all.
“Unless players are essentially in a bubble — insulated from the community and they are tested nearly every day — it would be very hard to see how football is able to be played this fall,” Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and member of the White House coronavirus task force, told CNN.
