Because of the way William & Mary defensive back and NFL draft prospect DeAndre Houston-Carson was raised, he believes that each person on this earth has a life calling.
For Houston-Carson, that calling came well before he ever realized it, but his mother Christina Carson did.
“She tells me the story all the time,” Houston-Carson said last week at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. “She said I was 2 years old and I’d be watching my father and his [college football] film. Someone would score a touchdown and I’d jump up and yell, ‘Touchdown!’ She believes this is my destiny because my first words besides mom and dad were touchdown, and the other one was hallelujah.
